First Delivery at Baniyas

On 19 October 2026, the first shipment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplied by the German company Select Energy arrived at Baniyas Port. The cargo was delivered under a contract between Select Energy and the Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC).

The Syrian-German Business Council sponsored and followed up the arrangement. The announcement does not give the tonnage, the contract value or the name of the vessel.

What the Business Councils Said

The Syrian Council for Coordinating Joint Business Councils described the shipment as practical progress toward resuming commercial cooperation between German companies and Syrian institutions, and credited the Syrian-German Council for overseeing the deal. It said it expects the supply to open the way to wider partnerships in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Earlier Deliveries to the Terminal

The platform previously reported on diesel and LPG tankers offloading at the same Baniyas terminal; those reports did not identify the supplier.
