Tanker Arrivals at Baniyas Terminal

The Syria Petroleum Company (SPC) announced on Monday the start of offloading operations for two tankers at the Baniyas marine terminal in Tartus governorate. One vessel carries diesel fuel and the other liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), with both shipments destined to meet domestic market demand for petroleum derivatives.

According to a statement published on the company's official Facebook page, the diesel tanker is loaded with 64,324 metric tons, while the LPG tanker carries 5,620.3 metric tons, bringing the combined total to more than 69,944 metric tons.

Operational and Safety Procedures

The company stated that its technical teams began mooring operations immediately after completing the required procedures, before proceeding to discharge both cargoes into the Baniyas storage tanks. All operations are being conducted in accordance with the highest applicable safety and operational efficiency standards.

Context of Previous Deliveries

These shipments follow a series of earlier fuel deliveries to the same terminal. During April of this year, Baniyas received multiple LPG consignments totalling more than 20,000 metric tons, as part of ongoing efforts to bolster the domestic energy sector.

Company Commitment to Supply Continuity

The Syria Petroleum Company reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply and supporting the stability of the country's energy sector. The company did not disclose the origin of the new shipments or the identity of the supplying party.
