The Founder

Architect M.Sc. Maher Daboul
Maher Daboul is an architect with a Master's degree in Architecture and Urban Planning in the context of Syria's Reconstruction, earned from Leibniz University Hannover in Germany.
The idea for the Rebuilding Syria platform emerged during his master’s thesis in 2018, in which he conducted an in-depth analysis of numerous global post-conflict reconstruction experiences.
His research revealed that failure in many of these cases was not due to a lack of funding or resources, but rather stemmed from poor coordination among stakeholders, limited community engagement, and the absence of effective mechanisms to connect implementing and funding entities. From this understanding, Maher envisioned a professional digital platform that would serve as a central coordination hub for Syria’s rebuilding efforts one that fosters transparency, integration, and inclusive participation from four key sectors:
Building Sector, the local community, the academic sphere, and the investment sector.
