The Syrian Ministry of Tourism has launched "The Beaumont" project in Damascus, which is the country's first fully integrated residential, commercial, and leisure development. The project is a 50-year strategic joint venture between the Ministry and the Riyadh-based "Ezdihar Holding". The estimated cost of the project ranges from $250 million to $300 million. The development covers an area of 77,000 square meters near the historic Umayyad Square, situated along the Barada River waterfront. Construction will be carried out in phases and is expected to be fully completed within four years.
The project features two landmark towers. The first tower will house a five-star hotel with 150 rooms, presidential suites, a private members' club, and a fully equipped spa. The second tower features 26 floors of high-end residential units, ranging from one-bedroom serviced apartments to 570-square-meter duplex penthouses. The project also includes a two-level retail center and an outdoor promenade featuring cafes and restaurants. Additionally, a 10-story modern business center will be built to attract regional and international companies seeking headquarters.
This mega-project is expected to stimulate economic growth by generating between 1,500 and 2,500 direct jobs, alongside 3,000 to 3,500 indirect job opportunities. Minister of Tourism Mazen Al Salhani stated that the project marks a pivotal milestone and a major leap in efforts to revitalize the tourism industry and enhance the country's appeal as a premier investment destination
