Syria's Investment Authority Opens New Branch in Homs

The director general of the Syrian Investment Authority, Ahmad Rawad Ramadan, has issued a decision to establish a branch of the authority in Homs governorate, as part of the authority's effort to strengthen its institutional presence across the provinces and bring its services closer to investors and investment projects.

Content of the Decision

According to a report by the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Ramadan explained that the decision builds on the authority's existing presence in Homs and on the work of its team, previously led by Majd Hammam, over the past period. The decision upgrades this presence to the level of a formal branch linked to the authority's headquarters and operating within its unified structure.

Goals of the New Branch

According to Ramadan's statement, the branch aims to:

  • Strengthen the authority's institutional presence in the provinces
  • Bring the authority's services closer to investors and investment projects
  • Build on the authority's previous work in Homs governorate

Future Plans

Ramadan told SANA that, in his words, the coming period will see additional steps to establish branches of the authority in a number of other provinces, according to the level of activity, investment opportunities, and the needs of each province, which he said would enhance the ability to reach investors and follow up on projects on the ground.

The Syrian Investment Authority is the government body responsible for regulating and facilitating investment in the country, operating through its headquarters and provincial branches to follow up on investment projects and provide services to investors.
