Syrian-Ukrainian Business Council Formed by Ministry Decision and Holds First Founding Meeting

Formation Decision

The Minister of Economy and Industry issued a decision forming the Syrian-Ukrainian Business Council, chaired by Mohammad Naeem Zeidieh, with a number of members. The council operates under the bylaws of the Syrian joint business councils with countries around the world, and is responsible for following up on business activities, coordinating with the relevant authorities and facilitating joint economic cooperation. The announcement does not give the decision number or the full membership.

First Founding Meeting

On 22 September 2026 the first founding meeting of the Syrian-Ukrainian Joint Business Council was held, with the participation of businesspeople, economic stakeholders and representatives of trade and investment sectors.

Aims

The council aims to build effective communication links between companies and businesspeople, create an environment for exchanging expertise and information, and explore investment and partnership opportunities, contributing to the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
