
The Chief Executive of the Syrian Petroleum Company, Youssef Qabblawi, received a delegation from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy comprising representatives of several major Saudi companies active in the energy sector. The meeting, announced by the company through its official Telegram channel, focused on prospects for joint cooperation in oil and gas.
Discussions covered the available investment opportunities in Syria's energy market and explored potential areas of cooperation between the two sides. Participants also exchanged views on topics of mutual interest aimed at supporting energy sector development projects and broadening investment prospects in Syria.
Separately, Qabblawi and Mark Rollins, Chief Executive of the American company HKN Energy, held a joint press conference at the Rmeilan oil fields in Hasakah Governorate. The two executives outlined plans to develop production using modern technologies, with a targeted timeline to gradually raise output at the fields to approximately 200,000 barrels per day.
The meeting reflects a growing openness by Syrian energy institutions to regional and international partnerships. The Syrian Petroleum Company is actively seeking investment that can revitalize the sector and increase its productive capacity.
