Syria Presents Investment Zones at Mosiad Expo 2026

Syria's Ministry of Local Administration and Environment concluded its participation in the 21st edition of Mosiad Expo 2026, held at Istanbul Expo Center with 369 companies from 70 countries attending.

Areas Presented

The ministry's pavilion showcased investment opportunities in local development, infrastructure, public transport, digital transformation, waste management, and rebuilding and early recovery projects.

Industrial Zones

The participation's outcomes included presenting investment opportunities in seven industrial zones as a first phase, applying an organized industrial zone model to operate the first zones in:

• Manbij
• Idlib
• Raqqa
• Daraa

This falls within a strategic plan targeting 380 industrial zones, alongside efforts to remove legislative obstacles to attract capital.

Visits and Talks

The pavilion received high level official visits, including Turkish officials and diplomats, alongside field discussions focused on mechanisms for planning and establishing industrial zones.

Next Steps

A preliminary agreement was reached to organize specialized training and technical workshops to support sustainable development and economic recovery.
