Field visit

On 12 October 2026, the Daraa governorate's official channel reported a field visit by the Nawa area director and the head of the Nawa city council to the Irwaa Nawa water project in the Al-Subeiha area. The project is being implemented by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). The visit reviewed progress and the difficulties facing implementation.

Scope of the contract

  • Equipping five of the six wells that were drilled earlier with funding from the "Abshiri Hawran" campaign.
  • Building a water tank with a capacity of 100 cubic metres.
  • Building a pumping station to connect the wells to the tank and pump water onward to the Tal Al-Majmoo' tank, which supplies the city of Nawa.

Sixth well

The visit discussed a proposal to extend the sixth well's line and link it to the lines of the other wells, to ease its later connection to the network and improve the efficiency of the water system. The announcement does not give a budget, a completion date or the project's progress rate.
