Road Works Under Way

The Aleppo Technical Services Directorate is continuing rehabilitation and widening works on the Maarat–Afrin road in Aleppo governorate. The targeted section is about 5 kilometres long.

Scope of Works

• Milling (scraping) of the damaged sections of the road
• Widening the road and preparing it for asphalt paving
• Building a culvert to drain flood water

According to the Governorate, the aim is to improve the condition of the road and ease traffic.
