Rehabilitation Begins on the 6.5 km Jarzaya–Umm al-Karameel Road in Southern Jabal Semaan, Aleppo

The Technical Services Directorate in Aleppo, with the support of Aleppo Governorate, has begun rehabilitation works on the Jarzaya–Umm al-Karameel road in the southern Jabal Semaan area, a road of more than 6.5 kilometres.

Route and scope of works

The road runs from Jarzaya through Tal Alloush and Drikeela to Umm al-Karameel. The works include scraping off damaged sections, levelling the road and paving it with asphalt, as well as building culverts to drain water along its course.

The stated aim is to improve the road's condition and ease travel between the villages and towns it serves.
