The Damascus International Airport development project is the largest single deal within the recent investment plan. A $4 billion investment agreement was signed to increase the airport's capacity to 31 million passengers annually over eight years. The agreement was concluded with an international consortium comprising companies from Turkey, Qatar, and the United States, most notably the Qatari company UCC Holding, and Turkish construction companies. The project aims to rehabilitate and expand the airport buildings and modernize navigation and logistics systems, strengthening Damascus' position as a regional hub for transportation and trade. This project is viewed as a crucial step in connecting Syria to the world. Support the return of tourism and business movement.
