Works Under Way

Rehabilitation work began on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, on 6 kilometres of the main road linking Aleppo and Raqqa governorates, within the Deir Hafer area. The stated aim is to improve traffic flow and raise road safety.

Scope and Implementing Body

The works are supervised by the General Establishment for Road Transport. The first stage consists of scraping off the old asphalt (milling) in preparation for resurfacing.
