The Syrian Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with Ezdihar Holding, has launched "The Beaumont," an integrated residential, commercial, and leisure development. It is located in central Damascus near Umayyad Square, along the Barada River.
The estimated investment is $250 to $300 million. The project is positioned as part of efforts to develop Syria's tourism sector and attract investment.
The development spans 77,000 square meters and includes two towers.
The first tower is planned to house a five-star hotel with 150 rooms, including presidential suites, dining outlets, a members' club, and a spa. The residential component comprises serviced apartments and duplex units built to international standards.
The project includes a two-level retail center, an outdoor promenade with cafés and restaurants, and a 10-story business center intended to attract regional and international corporate offices.
The project is to be delivered in phases over four years under a 50-year joint venture. It is projected to create 1,500 to 2,500 direct jobs and 3,000 to 3,500 indirect roles.
Ezdihar Holding will fund a training program for 30 Ministry employees at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, covering hospitality and project management.
