The Saudi Syrian Business Council held an economic event bringing together officials, business figures and investors from both countries, aiming to explore ways of shifting bilateral economic cooperation from general understandings toward investment partnerships and joint projects.
The event was attended by Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Nidal al-Shaar, and the head of the Syrian Investment Authority, Rawad Ramadan, alongside a number of business community representatives from both the Saudi and Syrian sides.
Discussions focused on exploring promising investment areas and strengthening the role of the private sector in leading a new phase of economic cooperation between the two countries. Participants addressed the main opportunities available in production and investment sectors.
The discussions during the talks affirmed that developing Syrian Saudi economic relations requires building long-term partnerships based on mutual interests, and making use of the capabilities available in both countries, in ways that support production, boost economic activity, and open the way for new value-added investments.
Such meetings carry particular importance amid a growing trend toward activating the role of business councils as a link between the two private sectors, and turning cooperation opportunities into tangible projects that contribute to supporting economic development and strengthening trade and investment relations. The event is part of the efforts of the Saudi Syrian Business Council to enhance communication between investors and businesspeople, under the slogan: toward a sustainable economic partnership, we strengthen cooperation, stimulate investment, and build the future.
