The International Real Estate Federation opens an official mission in Syria to support economic reconstruction

Saleh Tabbakh, a member of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), announced the formation of an official FIABCI mission in Syria to participate in the Syrian Private Sector National Conference "PSD 2026", held in Damascus. The announcement was reported by SANA on Sunday, 31 May 2025.

Significance of the Official Mission

Tabbakh described the establishment of the mission as a statement of confidence in the future of the Syrian economy and its ability to reclaim its position on the global investment map. He affirmed that his participation as a FIABCI representative is aimed at supporting a business environment defined by competitiveness and transparency, and at reinforcing the role of the private sector in opening new investment and development horizons in Syria.

He noted that the growing international interest in the Syrian market reflects a firm belief in the country's underlying strengths, which qualify it to return to its natural economic standing. He added that the current phase demands an economic vision capable of translating this confidence into tangible development projects on the ground.

Tabbakh pointed to successful real estate experiences across the region as evidence that building cities extends well beyond physical infrastructure.
