The Great Mosque of Darayya is the beating heart of the city and a symbol of its historical identity. The project involved the total reconstruction of the iconic minaret to match its original architectural style. It also included structural reinforcement of the walls, restoration of the main dome, and a complete overhaul of the infrastructure, including new electrical and water systems.

Despite severe economic fluctuations and material shortages, the "Community Rally" (Faz'a) and expatriate contributions ensured the project met high-quality standards. Today, the mosque successfully accommodates up to 5,000 worshippers during peak times.
