The hotel is located in the city of Damascus.
The project is a luxury five-star hotel. Works on the hotel were launched under the patronage of the Syrian Sovereign Fund and with the participation of the Syrian-Saudi Business Council, according to reports by B2B-SY and Al-Sada (27 August 2026) and Enab Baladi (29 August 2026). B2B-SY and Enab Baladi attribute the launch announcement to the Syrian Ministry of Tourism, and Al-Sada and the description of the Enab Baladi video say Minister of Tourism Mazen al-Salhani attended the launch of works. According to the ministry, work was then continuing in preparation for the finishing stage.
The hotel carries the Narcissus brand name, which according to B2B-SY is a brand of luxury five-star hotels belonging to the Saudi group Boudl Hotels & Resorts.
B2B-SY quoted the ministry's Telegram channel as seeing the project as a "strategic partnership" that pairs international brands with the development of five-star hotels. Citing the ministry, both B2B-SY and Al-Sada describe the hotel as designed to international standards to be a luxury hospitality destination.
