
The Ministry of Economy and Industry has announced that applications for subscription in the Deir ez-Zor Industrial City open on 11 October. The details were given by the city's director, Samir al-Hayo, on the evening of Thursday, 8 October.
Al-Hayo said the first phase covers infrastructure development on 200 hectares, providing more than 140 hectares of industrial plots for various types of industry.

Al-Hayo explained that plot preparation will run alongside the subscription period, with each investor preparing their own plot while the city administration completes basic services in parallel. He added that during this phase the administration will carry out:
Al-Hayo said 100 hectares will be allocated in the coming period to a company specialized in oil, gas and energy services within the industrial city's land. He said the city has strengths including its proximity to oil and gas sources, a broad agricultural production base and a workforce able to support productive activity in the governorate.
The director said that, in his assessment, resuming work at the industrial city would help increase the number of industrial projects, raise production and value added, create direct and indirect jobs, and stimulate trade and transport. He added that reactivating the city is one of the most important economic steps in Deir ez-Zor governorate.
