Bond Requirements and Penalties

• Initial bond: 5% of the estimated value.
• Final bond: 10% of the awarded contract value, submitted via certified check, bank guarantee, bank transfer, or deposit with the Ministry of Finance.
• Delay penalty: 1% for each day of delay.
• Execution period: 150 calendar days.

Bidder Qualifications

Bidders must submit a contractor or building engineer classification certificate of the second, third, or fourth category, along with duly certified experience documents proving prior execution of similar works, in accordance with the experience conditions specified in the project's terms.

Bid Validity Period

The bid remains valid for ninety days from the day following the submission deadline, while the selected contractor's offer remains binding for ninety days from the date of notification of the award.

Bids must be submitted to the office of the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums in Damascus in an envelope containing two sealed sub-envelopes, the first with supporting documents and the initial bond, and the second with the financial offer, by the end of official working hours on Monday, September 28, 2026. Bids will be opened on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Directorate's headquarters. The project file can be obtained from the Directorate for a fee of 2,000 Syrian pounds, with advertising costs borne by the contractor.
