The General Authority for Border Crossings and Customs of the Syrian Arab Republic has launched a first-round, full-speed tender for the rehabilitation of the administration building located within the Port of Latakia.

The scope of works covers the full rehabilitation of the administrative building in accordance with technical specifications outlined in a dedicated conditions booklet prepared for this purpose. The project forms part of the Authority's broader drive to upgrade port infrastructure and modernise administrative facilities across Syrian seaports.

The General Authority for Border Crossings and Customs was established by Presidential Decree No. 244 of 2025 and reports directly to the Presidency of the Republic. Its affiliated entities include the Latakia Port Company, the Tartus Port Company, and the General Directorate of Ports.
