Tender Subject

The Tartus City Council has announced, for the second time, a tender for the rehabilitation of the seafront corniche in the city of Tartus, in accordance with the technical, financial and legal terms prepared for this purpose, along with the provisions of Contracts Law No. 51 of 2004 and the general conditions booklet.

Estimated Value and Guarantees

The issuing authority set the estimated value of the works at 6,398,325 Syrian pounds. A temporary guarantee of 5% of the estimated value is required, payable by transfer, bank guarantee, or certified check, while the final guarantee amounts to 10% of the award value, payable in the same manner.

Execution Period and Penalties

The execution period for the works is set at 90 calendar days, with a delay penalty of one per thousand for each day of delay. The bidder's offer commitment period is 60 days starting from the day following notification of the award.

Participation Conditions

The tender file can be reviewed and purchased from the Contracts Department for 2,000 Syrian pounds. Those wishing to participate must submit their bids to the Tartus City Council office, accompanied by supporting documents in accordance with Article 11 of Contracts Law No. 51 of 2004, in addition to the following:

• A contractor classification document per the latest classification issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, in the roads specialty.
• A subscription document to the Official Announcements Bulletin for 2026.

Deadlines

Bid submission continues until the end of official working hours on Sunday, 30 August 2026, and bids will be opened on Monday, 31 August 2026 at eleven in the morning.

Bids must be submitted to the Tartus City Council office, accompanied by supporting documents per Article 11 of Contracts Law No. 51 of 2004, a contractor classification document (roads specialty) issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, and a subscription document to the 2026 Official Announcements Bulletin, by the end of official working hours on Sunday, 30 August 2026. Bids will be opened on Monday, 31 August 2026 at 11:00 AM. The tender file can be purchased from the Contracts Department for 2,000 SYP.
