The governor of Tartus, head of the executive office, has announced a sealed-envelope tender for low-cost paving works covering several roads in the Safita area, launched on an expedited basis given the urgency of the works.
The project covers paving of three roads in the Safita area: the Ba'amra Sheikh Mohammed al-Rouji road, the Jib al-Amlas Beit Aasy road, and an agricultural road in Bteloun, with a combined length of 3.2 kilometers.
The estimated base value of the project has been set at SYP 23,932,435 (new Syrian pounds), with an execution period of 60 days from the date of contracting.
Bidders remain bound by their offers for 120 days starting the day after the submission deadline, while the selected bidder remains bound for 180 days from the date of notification of contract award. The tender file costs SYP 20,000.
Bidders are required to be subscribed to the 2026 official announcements bulletin, and to pay the tender subscription fee and the initial guarantee fee in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 30 of 2023, with no grace period granted to complete these requirements.
Bidders, whether natural or corporate persons, must also submit a registration document with the Construction Contractors Syndicate, along with a classification document (excellent, first, or second category) in the roads specialty, both considered essential parts of the accepted bid file.
Bids are to be submitted to the office of the Directorate of Technical Services in Tartus, in accordance with Law No. 51 of 2004. Interested parties may review the project file at the Legal Affairs Department during official working hours.
