overview
Syria's General Authority for Supply and Procurement has issued an internal call for price offers for a project to secure heavy engineering and construction machinery, part of its ongoing efforts to meet public sector needs at competitive prices and technical standards.
The tender carries reference number 096-A-2026 and was announced on September 7, 2026. It is governed by dedicated specification books outlining the technical, legal and financial requirements for the machinery.
The contract execution period is set at three months from the date of the start order, while bidders must keep their offers valid for 90 calendar days from the day following the close of the submission period. The delivery location will be determined later according to the final contract.
Offers must be submitted in three separate sealed envelopes placed inside one sealed and signed envelope referencing the tender number and date. The first envelope must contain supporting documents and the initial guarantee receipt, without which the offer will be rejected; the second envelope holds the technical offer, and the third the financial offer. The authority noted that offers may be split by groups, not by individual items.
The specification book can be obtained from the authority's office in Damascus (the former General Establishment for Free Zones building, opposite the General Authority for Ports and Customs), for a fee of 50 US dollars, payable via Sham Cash, with the possibility of receiving the file electronically after contacting the committee. The submission deadline closes at the end of official working hours on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
