The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Syria has issued Announcement No. 72, an internal call for bids addressed to licensed contractors, engineering companies, and specialist firms registered in the Syrian Arab Republic. The tender covers the installation of a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy system and the rehabilitation and re-equipping of a drinking water well in the village of Al-Malou'a, Tartus Governorate.
The project encompasses two main components: the full installation of a photovoltaic solar energy system and the rehabilitation of an existing drinking water well at the same site, in accordance with the tender's specific terms of reference. This initiative aligns with AKF Syria's broader mandate of providing communities with access to clean water and renewable energy across Tartus Governorate.
Bidders may submit their offers through one of two methods: electronically, by uploading a password-protected folder containing the required licenses and the financial offer in separate sub-folders; or in person, by delivering a sealed envelope to the reception desk at AKF's office in Salamieh, Anas Ibn Malik Street, behind the SADCOP fuel station.
A public bid opening session will be held on Thursday, 30 July 2026 at 12:00 noon at AKF's Salamieh office. Bidders may attend in person or join remotely via an online link that is automatically generated upon file submission. Remote participants must transmit their financial offer password during the live session; failure to do so will result in disqualification of the bid.
Issuance of this announcement does not constitute any obligation on the part of AKF toward any bidder. AKF reserves the right to extend or cancel the announcement. Payment will be made exclusively via bank transfer to an account not subject to international sanctions. Bidders are advised to consult their chosen bank regarding applicable withdrawal limits prior to submitting an offer.
