Scope of Works

The Aga Khan Foundation Syria (AKF Syr) invites eligible contractors to submit price offers for the rehabilitation and restoration of schools located across six governorates: Rural Damascus, Hama, Tartus, Aleppo, Idlib, and Homs. The tender falls within the Foundation's ongoing education and early recovery programming in Syria.

Mandatory Site Visits

Site visits are a mandatory prerequisite for participation in this tender. Interested bidders were required to register their contact details via a dedicated online form no later than Saturday, 11 July 2026 at 4:00 PM, in order to be scheduled for the required field visits.

Technical Inquiries

Bidders may submit technical questions through the designated inquiry link provided in the tender notice. The deadline for receiving inquiries is Tuesday, 21 July 2026. All responses will be published exclusively through a shared online folder, which bidders are advised to monitor regularly to ensure receipt of all updates and clarifications.

Submission Methods

Offers may be submitted through one of two channels:

  • Electronic submission: Upload all required files, including licenses and the financial offer, in a single password-protected folder via the specified online link. The password must be shared only during the public bid-opening session.
  • Physical submission: Deliver a sealed envelope containing all required documents to the reception desk at the Aga Khan Foundation building in Salamieh, Anas Ibn Malik Street, behind the Sadcop fuel station.

Bid Opening Session

A public bid-opening session will be held on Sunday, 26 July 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Foundation's premises in Salamieh. Bidders may attend in person, send an authorized representative, or participate remotely via an online link that will be automatically generated upon submission. Financial offers submitted without password protection will be automatically disqualified.

General Conditions

The issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Aga Khan Foundation toward any bidder, and the Foundation reserves the right to extend or cancel the tender at its discretion. All payments will be processed exclusively via bank transfer to accounts not subject to international sanctions. Bidders are advised to consult their respective banks regarding applicable withdrawal limits prior to submitting their offers.

Offers may be submitted electronically by uploading required files in a password-protected folder via the designated link, or physically by delivering a sealed envelope to the reception desk at the Aga Khan Foundation building in Salamieh, Anas Ibn Malik Street, behind the Sadcop fuel station, before the deadline of Sunday, 26 July 2026 at 12:00 noon.
