The Industrial Research and Testing Center in Damascus has announced tender no. 88969 for carrying out waterproofing, for the second time, on the roof of the laboratories of its Chemical Industries Directorate, as part of its 2026 works. The tender is handled on a total-speed basis under the conditions set out in the notice.

Scope of Works

The tender covers waterproofing of the roof of the Chemical Industries Directorate laboratories. According to the notice, this is the second time the operation is being carried out on that roof. The execution period is 50 days, starting the day after the contractor is notified of the order to commence.

Bonds and Penalties

• Preliminary bond: 5% of the estimated bill of quantities value.
• Final bond: 10% of the award value.
• Delay penalty: 0.001 (one per thousand) of the contract value for each day of delay.

The notice does not state the estimated value in figures.

Bidder Requirements

The notice requires bidders to be classified under Ministry of Public Works and Housing decision no. 2828 dated 14 March 2021, in a category suited to the nature of the project. Bidders remain bound by their offers for one month from the end of the submission period.

Offers are submitted to the Center's registry by the end of official working hours on Tuesday, 10 November 2026. Offers are opened on Wednesday, 11 November 2026 at 11:00 a.m.

The special conditions booklet can be obtained from the accounting department at the Center, located in Mezzeh on the Muadamiyeh road, for a fee of 1,000 Syrian pounds.
