Scope of Works

Al-Jarwiyeh Municipality, located within the Safita District of Tartus Governorate, has announced an urgent sealed-envelope tender for the execution of road link maintenance works. The project covers the Beit al-Dawara area and its surroundings, as well as the hamlets of Harboq, al-Ayn, and Maadi, all falling within the municipality's administrative jurisdiction.

Estimated Value and Security Requirements

The estimated project value is 1,455,850 new Syrian pounds. The following financial conditions apply:

  • Initial security deposit: 5% of the estimated project value
  • Final security deposit: 10% of the contract value
  • Bidder binding period: 30 days from submission
  • Late execution penalty: 1 per mille per day of delay, not to exceed 20% of the total contract value

Execution Period and Contractor Requirements

The project must be completed within twenty days of contract award. Eligible contractors must hold a fourth or fifth category classification in the roads sector. Contractors who are not licensed engineers are required to assign a resident engineer to supervise works on site throughout the execution period.

Submission Procedures and Deadlines

Offers must be submitted, along with all required supporting documents in accordance with Law No. 51 of 2004, to the municipality's registry no later than the end of official working hours on Wednesday, 6 May 2026. Project files are available for review upon purchase from the municipality premises at a cost of 4,000 new Syrian pounds.

Envelope Opening Session

Submitted envelopes will be opened at the municipality headquarters at 10:00 AM on Thursday, 7 May 2026.

How to Apply

Offers must be submitted in person to the Al-Jarwiyeh Municipality registry, accompanied by all required supporting documents as stipulated under Law No. 51 of 2004, no later than the end of official working hours on Wednesday, 6 May 2026. Project files must be purchased from the municipality premises at a cost of 4,000 new Syrian pounds prior to submission.
