Project Background

Islamic Relief Syria invites qualified contractors to submit technical and financial proposals for the rehabilitation of schools in rural Hama governorate. This project aims to restore educational facilities for children affected by recent events, ensuring safe and conducive learning environments.

Scope of Work

Number of Schools: 3-5 school buildings across Hama countryside

Rehabilitation Works Include:

• Structural repairs and restoration of damaged buildings
• Replacement of broken windows and doors
• Repair and repainting of interior walls and ceilings
• Flooring repairs and replacement
• Electrical system repairs and upgrades
• Plumbing and sanitation facilities restoration
• Roofing repairs and waterproofing
• Installation of furniture (desks, chairs, boards)
• Playground equipment and outdoor facilities

Technical Requirements

• All works must comply with Syrian building codes and humanitarian standards
• Use of durable, child-safe materials
• Accessibility features for students with disabilities

• Fire safety measures and emergency exits

Contractor Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in construction/rehabilitation projects
• Experience in educational facility construction (at least 2 similar projects)
• Valid contractor license and insurance
• Qualified engineering and technical staff
• Financial capacity to handle project scale
• Commitment to child protection policies
