Latakia City Council has announced a first-round public auction for the construction and operation of a commercial site on Al-Arouba Street (formerly known as Nasma Street), located within the South Corniche area of Latakia city. The auction is governed by the terms and conditions set out in the official tender booklet.

Site Details and Occupancy Term

The site subject to auction covers an area of 700 square metres, with an occupancy period of five calendar years from the date of contract signing. The site is situated in the South Corniche district, one of the city's prominent coastal zones.

Financial Conditions and Guarantees

  • Provisional guarantee: 2,500,000 new Syrian pounds (two million five hundred thousand pounds).
  • Final guarantee: set at 10% of the total contract value.
  • Tender booklet fee: 2,500 new Syrian pounds.
  • Bidder binding period: 120 days from the date of bid opening.

Auction Date and Venue

The auction session will be held at the Latakia City Council meeting hall on Monday, 18 May 2026, at 12:00 noon. Should the auction date coincide with an official holiday, the first working day thereafter shall be considered the auction date.

Submission Requirements

Offers must be submitted with all required supporting documents, including a receipt confirming payment of the tender booklet fee. Any offer not accompanied by this receipt will be rejected. Interested parties may contact the Contracts Division at the City Council during official working hours to obtain the tender booklet and further information.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted no later than the end of official working hours on 17 May 2026, accompanied by the provisional guarantee of 2,500,000 new Syrian pounds, all required supporting documents, and a receipt confirming payment of the tender booklet fee (2,500 SYP). The tender booklet may be purchased from the Contracts Division at the City Council during official working hours.
