The Khan Shaykhun city council in Idlib governorate has announced a first-round tender for the provision and maintenance of road cross-sections within the city, using hot asphalt mix.

Scope of Work

The tender covers excavation and cleaning works, alongside spraying a bonding agent at a rate of seven kilograms per square meter. It also includes spreading and compaction works, and the removal of excavation residue to sites designated by the city council, along with all necessary accompanying works, in accordance with the technical, legal and financial terms of the specifications booklet.

Value and Guarantees

The issuing authority set the estimated value of the tender at 8,992,500 Syrian pounds. The initial guarantee required is 10,000 Syrian pounds, while the final guarantee is set at 1% of the final contract award value.

Execution Period and Bid Validity

The execution period for the works is set at thirty days from the start date. The bidder's commitment to their submitted offer extends for fifteen days from the date the offers are opened.

Tender Session Location

The tender session will be held at the headquarters of the Khan Shaykhun city council, on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope containing proof of payment of the initial guarantee along with the technical and financial offer, plus proof of payment for the specifications booklet after reviewing and accepting its terms. The submission period begins on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, for fifteen days, at the city council's office.
