The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Syria has issued Announcement No. 84, reference AKF/084/26, inviting licensed contractors, suppliers and engineering firms registered in the Syrian Arab Republic to submit price offers for the insulation, rehabilitation and maintenance of main irrigation canals in the village of Qalaat al-Madiq, rural Hama governorate.
The works encompass the full insulation, structural rehabilitation and ongoing maintenance of the primary irrigation canal network serving Qalaat al-Madiq village. The objective is to improve the efficiency and durability of the agricultural water supply infrastructure in the area. A site visit is a mandatory prerequisite for participation.
Interested bidders must register their contact details via the designated online form no later than Thursday, 6 August 2026 at 12:00 noon. AKF will subsequently contact registered bidders to schedule the site visit. Technical queries may be submitted until the end of Wednesday, 12 August 2026, with responses published through a shared drive link accessible to all participants.
Bidders may submit their offers through one of two methods:
A public bid-opening session will be held on Monday, 17 August 2026 at 14:00 at the AKF premises in Salamiyah. Bidders may attend in person or join online, provided they transmit the financial offer password during the live session. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the offer.
Issuance of this announcement does not constitute any obligation on the part of AKF toward any bidder. AKF reserves the right to extend or cancel the announcement. Payment will be made exclusively via bank transfer to an account not subject to international sanctions.
How to Apply
Offers may be submitted electronically via a password-protected upload link, or in person as a sealed envelope delivered to the AKF reception in Salamiyah, Anas ibn Malik Street, behind the SADCOP fuel station, before the deadline of Monday, 17 August 2026 at 14:00. A site visit is mandatory and registration must be completed by 6 August 2026 at 12:00 noon.
