The Technical Services Directorate in Homs has announced a second-round tender under the total-speed procedure, using the sealed-envelope method, for two road paving and asphalting projects in their second phase. The notice carries the number 88159.

Projects Offered

The tender covers the two projects below, each with an execution period of 65 days:

• Project 1: paving and asphalting of the Mubarakiyah-Abel road (second phase), with an estimated bill of quantities of SYP 15,232,725.
• Project 2: paving and asphalting of the road linking Rajm Tuqou and Ghalwat al-Zakm (second phase), with an estimated bill of quantities of SYP 7,500,000.

The two estimates total SYP 22,732,725.

Costs and Guarantees

The directorate set the initial deposits and tender file prices for each project as follows:

• Project 1: initial deposit of SYP 380,820 and a file price of SYP 2,000.
• Project 2: initial deposit of SYP 187,500 and a file price of SYP 2,000.

The final guarantee is 5% of the award value.

Bidder Requirements

For both projects, the notice requires bidders to hold a roads classification in categories 3, 2, 1 and Excellent. A bidder is bound to its offer for 90 days, and the nominated contractor for 180 days.

Offers are submitted in line with the special legal and financial conditions booklet, and under Article 11 of the Contracts System issued by Law No. 51 of 2004.
