overview
GOAL is an international humanitarian organization headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, founded in 1977 and active in more than 60 countries. It has been one of the leading humanitarian actors in Syria since 2012, with programmes spanning emergency response, food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), shelter, and nutrition. Its Syria programme represents the largest humanitarian response in the organization's history.
GOAL is inviting qualified contractors and firms to submit bids for the rehabilitation of four water stations in Syria. This procurement forms part of the organization's sustained commitment to restoring and maintaining water infrastructure for conflict-affected and displaced communities across the country.
Syria continues to face one of the world's most protracted humanitarian crises, with an estimated 16.5 million people in need of assistance and approximately half the population lacking access to safe drinking water. The devastating February 2023 earthquakes further eroded basic infrastructure. In 2025, GOAL improved access to safe water for more than 1.1 million people by supporting water stations and repairing networks across the country.
The required works involve the rehabilitation of four water stations, likely encompassing structural repair, equipment upgrading, and service continuity measures. Applicants are expected to demonstrate documented experience in water infrastructure (WASH) projects within complex humanitarian operating environments.
