The Technical Services Directorate in Daraa has announced an internal, full-speed tender by sealed envelope (merger or reduction method) to carry out road construction and rehabilitation projects in Daraa governorate. The tender follows the special technical, financial and legal specification books and the bills of quantities and prices. The tender number is 159380.

Projects on offer

The tender comprises ten projects, listed below with their dimensions and estimated bill value (in new Syrian pounds):

• Construction of the Northern Neighbourhood road in Al-Musayma, 200 m long and 4 m wide, valued at 336,000.
• Construction of a link road in the village of Karim Al-Shamali, 200 m long and 5 m wide, valued at 280,000.
• Construction of the Tal Al-Wawiyat road in the city of Nawa, 350 m long and 6 m wide, valued at 1,251,600.
• Construction of the agricultural road leading to the Yousef Al-Dammad farm, 360 m long and 5 m wide, valued at 756,000.
• Construction of the Al-Fallahin road in the village of Saham Al-Jolan, 1,000 m long and 6 m wide, valued at 2,709,000.
• Construction of an agricultural road in Izraa (Al-Mughraqa district), 600 m long and 6 m wide, valued at 2,167,200.
• Construction of the Dukhaym road in Al-Wardat, 700 m long and 5 m wide, valued at 1,470,000.
• Construction of the Eastern Sharayea road, 2.2 km long and 5 m wide, valued at 3,452,400.
• Construction of the road west of Sheikh Saad town (Al-Mikhnaq and Tal Ashtara road), 1 km long, valued at 2,800,000.
• Construction of an agricultural road in the town of Al-Shajara, 1,700 m long and 6 m wide, valued at 6,079,200.

The estimated bill values of the ten projects add up to 21,301,400 new Syrian pounds, based on the published table. Execution periods in the table range from 4 to 12 per project, although the notice does not state the unit of measurement explicitly.

Financial terms

• Initial bond: 5% of the estimated bill value.
• Final bond: 10% of the award value, payable within ten days of the tender being awarded.
• Late penalty: 0.001 (one per thousand) for each day of delay.
• Bid validity for the bidder and the nominated contractor: 150 days.
• Tender file price: 1,000 new Syrian pounds, paid against a financial receipt.
