The General Authority of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Hospital in Damascus has announced a tender to renovate the hospital's operations department, including roof insulation. It is an internal tender issued for the second time under the expedited (total speed) procedure, and carries the number 88466.

Tender Scope

The works cover the renovation of the operations department together with insulation of the roof, in line with the general and special specifications book, including its technical, financial and legal conditions.

Financial Terms

• Initial bond: SYP 800,000 (eight hundred thousand Syrian pounds).
• Final bond: 10% of the award value.
• Late penalties: one per thousand for each day of delay, capped at 20% of the total contract value.
• The selected bidder bears all taxes and fees arising from the execution of the contract.

Execution and Bid Validity

The execution period is ninety days, starting from the day after the contractor is notified of the order to commence work. Bidders remain bound by their offers for ninety days, not exceeding six months.

Contractor Requirements

The contractor must hold a classification of first, second or third category at minimum, in accordance with Decision No. 4977 dated 11 July 2024 issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.

Legal Framework and Deadline

Offers are submitted under the Contracts Law No. 51 of 2004 and the General Conditions book issued by Legislative Decree No. 450 of 2004. The deadline is the end of official working hours on Monday, 2 November 2026.
