The General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Damascus Governorate, part of the General Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation, has announced a tender for the replacement of emergency sewer lines in scattered areas of Damascus city and its countryside for 2026.
The tender follows the add-or-deduct (percentage adjustment) method under the full-speed procedure, issued for the first time. It is based on the special tender books (technical, financial and legal) prepared by the administration for this contract.
The authority set the estimated project value at SYP 28,200,000, and this amount has been reserved in the 2026 investment budget.
Bidders must submit documents proving experience in similar (sewerage) works. They must also hold a classification in water networks, sewerage and dams in the second, first or excellent category, issued by the Ministry of Public Works, duly certified and valid for 2026.
Where several participants submit a single joint bid, one experience document and one classification certificate from a single bidder are sufficient, and all bidders provide the deposits among themselves.
The announcement is subject to Law No. 51 of 2004 and the general conditions issued under Decree 450 of 2004. The notice can be viewed on the company's website (dawssa.gov.sy), and the tender reference number is 88018.
