The Presidency of Aleppo City Council has announced a sealed-envelope tender, in its first round and under the expedited procedure, for asphalt surfacing, tiling and associated works in Al-Zabdiyah (Tal al-Zarazir Street and its side streets). The tender is run at the council's Financial Affairs Directorate and carries the number 106798.

Scope of Works

The project covers asphalt surfacing layers, tiles and associated works along Tal al-Zarazir Street and the streets branching from it in Al-Zabdiyah. It falls under the fourth-class roads specialisation.

Value and Duration

• Estimated bill of quantities value: SYP 6,483,780 (new Syrian pounds).
• Execution period: 60 days.
• Funding source: appropriations allocated in the 2026 budget.

Bonds and Penalties

• Initial bond: 5% of the estimated value.
• Final bond: 10% of the total contract value, to be paid by the contractor within 15 days of notification of award without a prior warning, failing which the initial bond is forfeited.
• Delay penalty: one per thousand (0.001) of the total contract value for each day of delay.
• Warranty period: one full year from the date of the provisional handover record.

Participation Terms and Dates

The deadline for submitting bids is the end of official working hours on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, and bids are opened at 12:00 noon on Thursday, 12 November 2026.

Where a bid includes partners, all partners must jointly provide the provisional and final bonds. A bidder remains bound to its offer for 20 days, while the nominated contractor remains bound for 160 days from notification of award. The contractor bears all advertising fees, however many times the notice is repeated.
