An early gas production and processing unit at the Tabiyeh (Conoco) field, about 20 km northeast of Deir ez-Zor city, north of the Euphrates. Syrian Petroleum Company rehabilitated and restarted the unit with its own staff and local contractors; the Ministry of Energy announced its start-up on 1 September 2026.
The unit has started producing from two of five wells, while repairs continue on the remaining three. The Ministry of Energy estimates that, once rehabilitation is complete, the system will supply the gas network with 1 to 1.5 million cubic metres per day.
The early unit is in service; work continues on repairing the remaining wells and completing an integrated production system at the field.
