Qatar Charity teams are carrying out a rehabilitation and revitalization project in the southeast neighborhood of Maarat al-Numan, in southern rural Idlib. The initiative aims to restore stability for residents and improve their daily living conditions, with funding provided by Qatari donors. The project focuses on reactivating basic infrastructure and essential services in an area that sustained severe damage over years of conflict.
The project encompasses an integrated set of field interventions covering residential, commercial, and public service needs, including:
These combined interventions are designed to gradually restore normal life in the neighborhood, providing a suitable living environment for returning residents. The project simultaneously addresses housing, commercial activity, and public services, offering a holistic approach to community recovery.
In a broader context, Qatar Charity reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Syria's vital sectors during a meeting in Damascus between Syrian Health Minister Musab al-Ali and the organization's Deputy Executive President, Nawaf al-Hammadi. The two sides reviewed ongoing health projects and discussed prospects for their development. Al-Hammadi stressed the importance of establishing clear mechanisms to ensure project sustainability and strengthen coordination among relevant stakeholders.
Qatar Charity operates across Syria through humanitarian and development programs spanning health, education, water, food, and economic empowerment. Among its recent initiatives is a pediatric cardiac catheterization campaign launched at Damar Hospital in Damascus, alongside various other humanitarian and service projects implemented across the country.

Restoration of 235 residential homes and 25 commercial units, rehabilitation of two mosques and two schools, removal of approximately 4,500 cubic meters of rubble, rehabilitation of 2.5 kilometers of roads, and installation of 25 waste collection containers.
