Northern Al-Rouj Plain Irrigation Project

About the project

A project to rehabilitate the irrigation network of the Northern Al-Rouj plain in rural Idlib, targeting about 3,000 hectares of farmland and aiming to improve the delivery of irrigation water to the fields and raise the network's efficiency.

Supply works

• The Idlib Water Resources Directorate, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), supplied irrigation pipes of various diameters and types.
• The supply also included the fittings that go with the pipes.
• The supply completes the requirements for rehabilitating the irrigation network and raising its efficiency, and helps reduce the problems that hinder water from reaching the fields.

Stakeholders

The Idlib Water Resources Directorate supplied the irrigation materials as part of the project's rehabilitation works, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Current stage

Rehabilitation is under way, and the supply of pipes and their fittings has been completed.
