Darkush–Jisr al-Shughur Road Rehabilitation

A project to rehabilitate the Darkush–Jisr al-Shughur road in Idlib governorate, a stretch of about 25 kilometres, carried out by the Syrian Establishment for Building and Construction (SEBCO) under the supervision of the General Establishment for Road Communications. It aims to improve the condition of the road and strengthen traffic safety.

Scope of Works

• Milling of the old asphalt layer.
• Laying a new 6 cm asphalt overlay.
• Average road width of 7 metres, widening to 14 metres within towns.
• Road marking works.

Parties

• Implementation: Syrian Establishment for Building and Construction (SEBCO).
• Supervision: General Establishment for Road Communications.

Current Stage

Works are under way, according to Idlib Governorate on 18 September 2026, relaying the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.
