About the Project

The project covers the rehabilitation of the Al-Sarman silo in southeastern rural Idlib and the installation of storage cells, aimed at raising the silo's readiness and strengthening its storage capacity for the grain sector, as published by the Ministry of Economy and Industry on 12 August 2026.

Scope of Works

• Location: Al-Sarman silo, southeastern rural Idlib
• Installation of storage cells in the silo
• Completion of the silo's rehabilitation and upgrading works
• Objective: strengthening storage capacity for the grain sector

Parties Involved

The project is implemented by the World Food Programme (WFP) in coordination and cooperation with the General Establishment for Grains, while the Idlib Grains Branch follows up and supervises the works on site.

Current Stage

Works are under way and, according to the ministry, progressing at a rapid pace.
