About the project
A project to rehabilitate the Al-Hari water station in eastern rural Al-Bukamal, Deir ez-Zor Governorate, carried out by the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir ez-Zor in cooperation with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), to serve around 11,000 people in the area.
Scope of works
- Installation of new raw-water and clean-water pumps with their accessories.
- Maintenance of the sand filters.
- Rehabilitation of the concrete settling basin.
- Maintenance of the clear-water tank.
- Installation of a 200 KVA electrical transformer.
- Rehabilitation of the station site, maintenance of its buildings and installation of a metal fence.
- Installation of a water chlorination system.

Implementing body: the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir ez-Zor, in cooperation with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Current stage
Works are under way and about 90% complete, according to Deir ez-Zor Governorate on 10 August 2026.
