Skilled Trades in Demand

Rebuilding runs on skilled hands: electricians, plumbers, carpenters, metalworkers and equipment operators. Demand for these trades grows with every worksite that opens.

For young people, a skilled trade can be a fast, respected path to good work, when training is practical, certification is recognised, and the way to a first job is clear.

This poll asks employers, tradespeople and young people which trade deserves training programmes first and what most encourages the next generation to join, informing those who design vocational training.
