The project involves developing a large site in Island “A” within the expansion of the new Qudsaya suburb to serve as a main service center for the suburb and its surroundings.
The owner/custodian of the land is the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (through the Public Housing Corporation), with it being offered as an investment site in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism for tourism and commercial functions.
The site and its total area: The site is located in Block A of the Qudsaya suburb expansion, which is part of the large youth housing project in rural Damascus. This project covers a total area of approximately 240 hectares and includes about 11,300 youth housing units in the expansion alone. The land area for the main service center in Block A is specified in a statement by the Director of Tourism for Rural Damascus as approximately 88,000 square meters. This is the second site under consideration for investment in the Qudsaya suburb.
The functions and components planned according to what was published about the project as a site under consideration for tourism and service investment: Main function: A main service center for the Qudsaya suburb and surrounding areas (public, commercial and tourism services)
Planned site components: Tourist and commercial offices.
Food establishments (restaurants, cafes, possibly catering to various tourist categories).
Multipurpose halls (events, exhibitions, small conferences, community activities).
Other service activities related to the size of the suburb's population (expanded administrative/commercial center, daily services).
