The site of the carpet factory in Ain al-Tal, Aleppo, is offered for the development of a modern multi-specialty hospital with a capacity of 350 beds, comprising core clinical departments alongside diagnostic services.
What this means for a rebuilding company: an existing industrial site converted to healthcare use. Work begins with demolition, debris removal and site remediation, followed by excavation, foundations, concrete frame and interior fit-out to hospital specification. The largest share of the scope sits in mechanical and electrical systems: pressure-controlled ventilation and air conditioning for operating theatres, medical gases, plumbing, standby generators and switchgear, bed lifts, and fire detection and suppression. Add to that the diagnostic departments with their radiation shielding and sterilisable surfaces, and finally site infrastructure — roads, parking, and water, drainage and power networks.
