The site is located in the Damascus countryside, specifically in the Al-Dimas plain on the Damascus-Beirut highway and at the beginning of the northern ring road near Al-Saboura, within the urban planning scheme. The total area mentioned is approximately 175 hectares, while the actual area is 150 hectares after excluding 25 hectares for the high-voltage power line right-of-way.
The project is not just a plan on paper; it has been reported that work has been underway under direct contracts since 2016. There is a contract for public works, sanitation, and stormwater drainage which has reached approximately 80% completion, and a contract for the water and electricity network with a completion rate of nearly 70%.
