Damascus Governorate is offering an opportunity to build a four-star hotel at the entrance of the Al-Firdaws parking garage, opposite the Cham Hotel, with a total floor area of 11,700 m². The scheme comprises guest rooms, restaurants and terraces, function and event halls, fitness facilities and a swimming pool, and is offered on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis for a term of 35 to 40 years.
What this means for a rebuilding company: a full-service hotel inside an existing urban fabric. Work starts with excavation and shoring on a constrained, built-up site, moves through the concrete frame, façades and hospitality-grade fit-out, and ends with the mechanical and electrical package — central HVAC, lifts, fire protection, pool water treatment and commercial kitchen installations. The scale creates room for structural contractors, finishing and hotel-equipment suppliers, and interior design practices.
