Bio
The Qarah Qozak Bridge is located in the eastern countryside of Aleppo Governorate, crossing the Euphrates River to connect the cities of Manbij and Ayn al-Arab (Kobani). It is a highly strategic transportation point in northern Syria and gained additional prominence for its proximity to the ‘Tomb of Suleyman Shah’ before its relocation.
Damages
The bridge sustained severe damage and explosions in its critical sections, causing parts of it to collapse into the river. This severed the main artery connecting Manbij to Ayn al-Arab and put it completely out of service at the time.
